Heat stress lowers blood pressure and can cause dizziness or fainting, especially on standing. Alcohol and sauna are a dangerous combination. Pregnant individuals and people with cardiovascular or blood pressure conditions should be especially careful and cautious. Acclimate gradually, start with shorter sessions, cool down slowly, and rehydrate. Used sensibly, heat exposure is among the more accessible and well-documented tools in the self-experimentation toolkit.
